Oh, Orin is SO BEAUTIFUL!! I just posted a link to a site that helps find homes for seniors....www.srdogs.com Please check it out. I think they might be able to help. You can post Orin's picture on their site or one of their links. On the first page, scroll down and click on "If you need to find a home...." On the next page, scroll down to "Sanctuaries." That is a "final resort" option in the sense that you should try all other possibilites first. The "Sanctuaries" are really wonderful places. But as you can imagine, the demand for placement with them is great, so try other resources first if you can. I will be praying for Orin. This gorgeous, gentle dog deserves a wonderful home to live out his remaining years. All paws crossed...

I'll call my aunt who lives in Santa Barbara tomorrow. She is a wonderful dog mom who lost her beloved "McGruff" to heart failure about 5 months ago. She has not yet gotten another dog but I am not sure that she wants to adopt a senior dog, because she's so sensetive, and it rips her heart up into shreads when she loses her beloved dogs. It can't hurt to try, though. I'll post from work tomorrow if I have time and let you know if my aunt is interested.
I sure do feel bad for him. He's stunning and I can't imagine how sad he must feel to have to find a new home at such a tender old age. The elderly rescues always tug at my heartstrings a lot. Poor guy Thanks for doing what you can to find him a loving forever home.

Awwww, Orin is very cute! I hope he finds a loving home to belong too.
Paws & Tails crossed
What a beautiful dog, too bad that I don't live anywhere near.
You are so beautiful Orin. I sure hope that someone can adopt you and give you a forever loving home.
Maybe you can just show her that page, and then she have to follow her heart.
it is not fair to push her into anything, (not that i think you would)
but if she wants this baby, she will know...
Has Orin found a home, he is such a beautiful dog with the sweetest most innocent face.
just how old is he???

Orin is 12 years old... My heart breaks for this baby.... He's always in my thoughts as well as Shortnen.... Tomorrow is the 'deadline' and I'm not sure as what the final outcome is...
They are always in my prayers....
