BraveHeart did fairly well over last night. Ate ALL the canned food and about half of the amount of dry he had eaten last night. (can't expect miracles ALL the time, right?)

Heavens, Jen! Even ALL the canned food is a miracle compared to last week!

Sounds like a great balance for him....socializing, working up an appetite, getting lots of hoomin love - and even having his own pet hoomin, Charlie!

Maybe his tests won't be really different this week, but next week, look out!

Please hug that lovely woolly boy for me.

Jen, how is BraveHeart's eating going? Is he still interested in wet food? Please keep eating, sweet BraveHeart ... I want you to gain some ounces, please.

He has been finishig all the wet food I leave him overnight. And I have been trying to leave a little more each night. It has been about 3/4 of a can. Then I add a minced up slice of turkey. I add a pinch or two of his dry food. They cover it with water and mix. That's the way he likes it. When he gets all the liquid off, I often re-wet it for him to finish.

I believe the boy may actually have put a millimeter of fat on his ribs and hip bones. Yes, he still feels quite bony, but it seems to have just a slight "cushion". WOO HOOOOOOO

This is great news!! Maybe his stomach had shrunk a bit when he wasn't eating before and then it didn't take much for him to feel full. But now that he finally had that big meal last week, maybe his stomach has gotten bigger and needs bigger meals!! I'm so glad he's enjoying his homemade 'stew'!Thanks for the update!

Way to go!! Chow down, little boy!

Hmm, maybe Emeraldgreen is right; his little tummy probably shrunk and it takes a bit of coaxing to get it back to normal.

    Yummy stew!!

Well, the eating paid off. He gained about 10 ounces in the last 2 weeks.

Unfortunately, he did throw up on the way home from the vet's today. But he has not been vomitting much at all, so we won't worry too much. Maybe he ate too much before the car ride, or something.

Waiting for the test results to be back tomorrow. **corsses fingers**

    You go, good buddy!
