Well, I still don't know that much about her, but I do agree about the
voice. To shrill for me to listen to seriously, she hurts my ears.

Did anyone see the Code Pink protestors that were carted out of the convention during McCain's speech?

One of the local radio stations, KABC-AM 790 Lost Angeles were covering the convention. One of the broadcast team was talking to two women who stopped him to ask about him bracelet. He stood in the aisle, chatting to them for a while, when a protestor began to scream at McCain.

Doug McIntyre, the host of the show, was crouching next to a wall near the woman who started the ruckus, when one of the security guards jumped over the wall and kicked McIntyre in the head while trying to get to her.

She was escorted out, along with the two other women who had stopped to chat with the 'bracelet guy'. A few minutes later the security detail came back and tried to throw him out! They thought, because he was talking to the women, that he was part of the group trying to disrupt the gathering.

He was able to show some I.D. and was allowed to go back inside.
It was funny radio and they were joking about it....Just as I said before-I don't care for stupid protestors and their causes, especially when they act stupid. They always cause problems and innocent people get caught up in their BS.

    ------

    DUDE!

I can't remember who said this about SP....A woman was breaking down SP's nomination and made a comment that I have only heard women use when they speak 'off the cuff'. It has to do with a woman's sect-shul orientation.
I had to stop and think about what she said-It was a reference to her having to be "strictly-d***ly" now that she was playing with the boys.

Some of the comments made my the media are really funny and show how personal opinions are allowed to tint the news/talk arena.

    -------

This is a question that combines sex with politics-
It's about women and how they react to other women., how men get funny when they support other men and some answers that would be interesting to hear.

Women fight all the time about equal rights, pay, glass ceilings and job opportunties.

So why all the cattiness about SP's voice, her background, her eyes and family? Sometimes I think that the world needs more women in leader positions all across the planet, but you sabotage your own sister's chances.

Politics is a funny game. You have men that curse the other men-the Left and Dems that hate Bush, but profess this weird, almost homo-erotic love for all things and men that aren't Bush. (was that a pun?)

I guess I can see why women get all goofy-nasty about other women, But why do you allow the AH men the privilege to keep the 'girls' down and out? You fight to keep you rears from getting pinched by men in private, but have nothing to say about how they are "groping" and disrespecting a woman politician in public?

I have no problem saying that I like Palin and would follow her anywhere-I saw her jogging in a pair of black leggings-she's a PILF! LOLOLOLOL!

I am tired of the male politicians who treat me as a CILF.

    P=politician, C=citizen.

LOL, I love women that pin their hair up, It's fun to imagine what it would look like after a "romp". These are the same ideas that people bring to the table about BO, He talks good!, He's a rock star! He's a snappy dresser! Wow

Because my comments about SP that have nothing to do with politics you may think that it's a typical male reaction, thinking about women with my nether regions. You are correct. I get the stupid jealous feelings when I hear women go on about George Clooney, you'll never meet Clooney, I'm tall, fairly handsome and women are not going to bother us when we go out in public.

    Hey,
If you want to see someone fail, give them the job and watch them crash and burn. Make them earn your disdain. I want a women to get to the second highest office in the world.

    Why? CHANGE!

SP is the GOP's answer to the Dem's BO. You can't crumb on either- you are a racist or a misogynist if you do. Both sides will protect their candidates and tout the uniqueness of their backgrounds. If you think that one isn't at home to raise thieir kids, what about the other? What is the difference between a woman who goes out to whore themselves for public office without her kids?
What about BO and family values? Why does he get a pass when he whores for office? Oh, the man is the PIMP!

Politicians kids are a hoot anyways, Gore's son, Amy Carter, the Bush Gone Wild duo-that is huge pun waiting to happen-were all kids that slipped a little because dad wasn't home or didn't give them enough love?

I am for a woman to have a turn at the dirty world of politics. Women worshipped at the knees of Bill Clinton, It's time for men to get an opportunity at the foot of a woman......

    THAT WAS A PUN!!!!!!

So you think women are so sheep-like they should support a woman BECAUSE she is a woman.

Do I not remember you fussing (as best I could understand it) about blacks supporting Obama just because he is black?

But women should support Palin just because she is a woman?

In my career I have stood up a few times against putting a woman (including me) in a position because of gender. When a woman fails it is all to easy for people to say..."See? I told you a woman couldn't do it!" And it makes it that much harder for the next woman. People should get positions because they are the best qualified.

I too would like to see a woman as president of the United States - or even vice-president. However, not just any woman. And not Ms. Palin.

Apparently so. He's also not alone in thinking that way. It's

I wear my flag on my sleeve and in my heart, I expect no less from some stupid 'brother'.

A well though out politician would have covered all the bases. I would expect him to lie to me about every little detail.

    Stoop?
IDK, just as long as you don't get suckered into genuflecting at the foot of some dopey politician, you can do anything you want.

I was thinking about politics and religion, on their own and together.

Of course, we know of the community activists and governors and how they are being plucked from the bible and set in modern day Babylon.

The Left has this notion that BO is being crucified by the "governor".

Ponitus Pilate ended up washing his hands in the matter because he really didn't want to crucify Jesus Christ. PP was technically a prefect anyway.

IT was the Jews who were looking for their pound of flesh and moved PP into sentencing JC to death...

I saw Susan Sarandon aping the idea that BO is a communtiy activist and
Palin is a governor during a film clip.

Again, this shows how dumb people are when they make statements without researching the facts. LOOK IT UP.

The same people who are slamming the GOP for bringing religion into the presidential race have elevated their candidate to the position of a Jesus-like community activist and rightly so. JC was born, disappeared for 30 years then popped up on the scene, a relatively unknown entity, who rallied he masses with miracles and prayers. BO was born, showed up a few years later as a ..............a..........er.........Senator?

I have yet to see any modern day activist make people walk, give them their sight back or do the loaves and fishes thing at a rally.

As a matter of fact I tend to look at anyone with a promise of change with a rather jaundiced eye. And we all know they problems that Jesus had with the money changers at the temple.

This post is heavy into the Catholic religion so if you have any questions post them. I'll answer to the best of my ability..

    ------------------

Politics and religion can be discussed at any time with anyone, as long as they remain calm and don't take opinions as a personal slam. An opposing opinion will not make me think any less of a person. As a matter of fact, they make me think much harder about things.

I have shot myself in the foot many times and have no problem telling the 'doctor' how stupid I am.

    ---------

Going back to the women in politics.

I was thinking about how many voters stood behind a woman as the madame secreatary of the "House of Representin'" and the single digit approval rating she managed to sink Congress into.

No one will rail against the job she is doing-ah, the bimbette from Cah Lee Fuh Nee ah- and the Dems will look at any critique of her or the job she is doing as an anti-feminist rant and a slam against any and all women.

It is fun to watch people call a woman political candidate names, lie about her past and try to edit her public persona into something else.

You've seen the black clad woman pedaling the bike, with Toto in her basket, around the halls of Congress. SP ain't no Dorothy, But she don't run a room full of flying monkeys.

    That's friggin scary.

I saw a retraction from ABC and Charles Gibson about the Palin interview.
    In part?

"The ABC News department wishes to apologize on behalf of Charles Gibson for his inaccurate definition of the Bush Doctorin'.

He He was merely inquiring about Palin's grooming and dipilatory practices.
Gibson was reprimanded for his stupidity and will no longer be participating in any political news stories. He will be allowed to cover and interview trees and plants in future stories."
