Editing because I think I understand your question now Medusa!

If I had a son who was ill-behaved I would be embarrassed whether I knew the people who witnessed the ill-behavior or not, whether I respected the opinion of the people or not...of even if there were any others who witnessed it. It is the behavior that embarrasses me.

    Does that help?
Yes, it does help but I guess I should be more succinct. In this case the people who are criticizing Obama's speaking to the classrooms believe that their conduct is none other than just and right. They aren't behaving badly but are merely exercising their right of free speech and are taking responsibility for their children's education. They are doing nothing for which to be embarrassed and you cannot be embarrassed for someone else. In whose eyes are you embarrassed and to whom are you apologizing, please?
    Blessings,
    Mary

Did you know what each other meant? Why correct someone's spelling? We all make mistakes. I could've corrected yours a few paragraphs back but chose not to because it's impolite to correct someone in the "presence" of others. Seriously, manners seem to disappear on PT at times.

I'm embarrassed by the petty and mean-spiritied behavior that is being exhibited.

    Name calling.
"Pukestop" thinks you are full of horse dookie.

Oh, right... It was a "typo".

FWIW, politics and it's discussion has been petty and mean spirited since, well, the fall of man I suppose. So please don't be embarrassed simply for your country. Be embarrassed by your species.

Medusa...why don't you direct your question to RICHARD?

You are not exactly Miss Manners so give it a rest.

Medusa - feel free to twist my words and meaning around all you want. That does seem to be a sport of some people on PetTalk. You know and I know that we disagree on this subject.

You see just and right - I see petty and mean spirited.

I see calling the president of the United States a socialist to be narrow minded and uneducated.

And please, do not tell me what I am allowed to feel and what I am not.

For the last time...I am embarrassed by the conduct of some of my fellow countrymen and I do not need your permission to feel that way.

I did say did you know what each other meant. I wasn't picking on you. And coming from you, your comment to me is laughable.

I did not twist your words nor did I say that you are not allowed to feel a certain way. That is twisting words.

You would be alot more believable if you had quoted the first person to point out a typo. But..not your style.

Glad I gave you a laugh.
