    Dude,

BO was lying! BO was lying!

I tuned in to Don Imus yesterday and he was laughing at HC and BO.
He said that they were vicious to each other apart, but were (w)ussies when
    they meet face to face.

BO answered the lapel pin answer incorrectly. He did state that he thought a lapel pin was an false sense of patriotism on a radio show.

Or, as the stated on Red Eye the other night....Maybe Obama is afraid of the pointy thing on the back of the pin..

    ------------------

    And speaking of religion.

    The Pope rolls Mercedes, eh?

Loved the hydraulics and the hatchback. I just wonder what kinda sounds he jams......

    CD? DVD? MP3?

Do you know before 9/11 we couldn't even find a flag pin here? Guess we Kansans were just unpatriotic. We should have been born with one clutched in our hands like, apparently, the rest of the country. I have one now but don't wear it because it turned green. Guess I'm still unpatriotic, eh?
No matter what anyone does, someone some where will be offended some how!!!!

    Probably made in China anyway.

Has anyone else noticed BO slip back & forth between his"Black voice" and
"White voice", depending on the crowd he's talking to?

It's very obvious when he's doing it but I don't think I've ever read anybody
    comment on it before.

I had a friend who could do that! She said it was no different than someone bilingual English/French. Sort of like when GW gets that Texas twang going in place of his East Coast preppie voice. I have read comments on GW's bi-lingualness (is that a word??)

A long time ago we visited Montreal. Took a bus tour. The guide, a very nice young man, spoke perfect English - with no hint of a French accent.

We asked about it. He said he spoke only French in the winter, English in summer. Spring and fall were the bad times - as he was switching over.

    ME! ME!

BO does his 'street cred' spiel when he wants to be hip. I see it more as the
"preacher-featured" voice as he tries to rile up the crowd. He spoke it during the Annie Oakley speech. Another little habit he has is the post-zinger reaction. He'll make a statement, the crowd reacts and he collapses his posture. It's a "come-on! I don't deserve your applause" reaction. False humility. Check it out.

I know what you're talking about. It's his "aw shucks" type reaction.
I personally love Bo's reaction when someone really riles him. Watch for
the pursed lips & furrowed brow.

Going back to religion for a second.

    Bill Maher is a dope.

He made some statements about the Pope that were totally disrepsectful.
He was called on it and said he would apologize on his program and didn't bother.

Yeah, First Amendment and all that, but be accountable.

    Typical White Person Alert.

I was watching the sports news and the announcer was doing the golf scores.

All of a sudden he says something like, "How many jackets does a redneck need?" He was talking about a white golfer named Boo Weekly and his win at some Classic or Open.

I thought, "Hmmmm, Maybe one of the spokespeople for rednecks will come to his defense."

    ------------------

    And in hindsight......

What would have been the backlash against BO had he included NASCAR or Ford pick-up trucks as things that people in Penn. cling to?

Well the polls have been open in Pennsylvania for about a half hour now. I am so glad to see this day arrive. The commercials on TV are relentless "I am Barack Obama and I approve this message." "I am Hillary Clinton and I approve this message." I don't know how I will get through the general election in my right mind.

That's not an option. I just have to become more proficient at hitting the Mute button. Hubby is more skilled at that than I am.
