What? You don't like it when we blow the Charlie Box because we hooked a CD player up to the AUX? (Yeah, old school stuff. I speak SINGARS too. LOL)

OT - Does freq hopping REALLY ever work? I took a couple day SINGARS course and never could make it work right.

At the least? He should be shown respect for his 'fruit salad' and hardware- each and every little pin/flag represents a story about what he has done to make the grade during his career.

Yeah, Freq hopping DOES work, just takes a good commo guy, treadheads who actually LISTEN to said commo guy, and about a week of practice to get it together.

I didn't just have a CD player hooked into the VIC in my track, it was set up to broadcast on the BN alternate net, and I had a massaged radio to do it with.

All's well and good until the freqs rotate and the BN alt net becomes the command net, and someone forgot to change settings on the 100+ watt toy riding in the back. Oopsie?

Nope, worse, I'm from the MAT (mobilization Assistance Team) and I'm here to help.

Hey, I'm a big fan of Petraeus. Was just responding to comment from
Blue about trusting a man who fainted while waiting to give testimony
before Congress. I think the guy is an amazing man. America is lucky to
have him. Check out what he did two days after chest surgery......

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Petraeus

He is a "thinking man's" soldier.

Sorry, McC should have know better. To utter the slams with a room full
of beer drinking buddies ,and a civilian Reporter, was a serious lapse in judgement.

What? You mean banging the handset on the turret roof is not the fix?

As for listening to the commo guy.... It depends on what we are doing. If we had a hot Table 7 run and the crew is feeling good about Table 8, no way in hell is commo guy getting in the tank. We would take the radio out to be worked on. LOL Mojo MATTERS.

I didn't just have a CD player hooked into the VIC in my track, it was set up to broadcast on the BN alternate net, and I had a massaged radio to do it with.
Never made it on a crew where I had to deal with the BN net. Which is cool. Gunning for the old man sucks. They never care about doing well, just get that 700.

All's well and good until the freqs rotate and the BN alt net becomes the command net, and someone forgot to change settings on the 100+ watt toy riding in the back. Oopsie?
That's where guys with silver thingys on their collars start screaming into handsets, right? Because that always helps. Panicked talk on the BN command net always ensures a favorful outcome. LOL

Nope, worse, I'm from the MAT (mobilization Assistance Team) and I'm here to help.
Touche'. Its fun to be taught how to do CQB by a bunch of supply guys. No lie. A Georgia NG BSB were our 'instructors' for my last Bosnia trip. It was, litterally, laughable. "Ummm, 'sir', I don't think sending the point man in to 'scout', by himself, is a good idea."

ETA - What's worse? MAT or dudes from Corps G-5? With PA people?

He HAD to know better. This could not be a lapse in judgement.... It was a calculated move. A General does not become a General by making "should have known better" mistakes like this. I mean, seriously, Rolling Stone?

The interesting part is the WHY?

Gen. Petraeus to, probably, modify the RoE.

Lets hope this is true. Its a good start. Trust the boys to do what they do best.

And like I said.... Stupid strict RoE kills.

    How amusing.

    At the least
    .

When you show President Obama the respect -
    at the least
    - he deserves for having been elected by a majority of the voters of the United States of America you will have the right to suggest what...
    at the least
    - anyone else deserves.

Try comparing the medals earned by...say Eisenhower - to the number of medals McC and other army guys wear today. Not far at all from the
Third World AH toy soldier that issues himself citations and medals
Today they earn a medal for not soiling their pants it seems.

    At the least indeed.

Ild say it was good strategy on his part.

    Don't feed the trolls dude.

Example: From his official pic I see a MSM w/ 2 bronze clusters. A Bronze Star w/ v device. A Master Parachutist badge. And most of all... A Ranger tab.

So, ignorant rubbish indeed. Sunlight is the best disenfectant, eh?
