    Hiking in the snow <pics>

Sorry for two picture threads in one night! These were taken today. My friend Michele, her husband, and her dogs Cisco and Freyja went on a hike with me today. We decided to attempt some local waterfalls...its an easy hike, but I wasn't sure what the trail would be like. There was a lot more snow than I expected, and pretty muddy in spots, but we made it and had a good time.

The waterfall looked really neat with all the ice, there was a huge drift of snow at the base the water ran under too.

    Beautiful pictures, Amy. : )

Those frozen waterfalls are so pretty... but they are definitely upstaged by that adorableee gang of dogs.

Gorgeous photos, as always, Amy! What's with the harnesses? they look like they are falling down in front of their legs? (in last pic & in front of the waterfall)

Ah, it is nice to be able to see such beautiful scenery and dogs enjoying hiking in the snow, and still stay warm at the same time.

those harnesses are like for no pulling or something.... like gentle leaders...

they seem pretty cool as they don´t choke the dog...

and Amy.... the more pics the merrier!!!... lovely scenery... lovely dogs... it has made me feel chilli... (not the one you eat but the one when you are cold )

    Thanks everyone!

Isabel is right, those are no-pull harnesses...I think they are called Easy Walk harness, made by Gentle Leader. It's the intention that when they pull it tightens in the front, it doesn't choke them or anything. It really doesn't stop them from pulling that much, but it makes handling two dogs by myself a little easier. Nebo's is sagging in the pics, I always tighten them before I go but they never stay as tight as they should. I bought them at Petco.
