Pictures from the Snow and Ice storm.

We were hit with snow and ice Tuesday overnight and Wednesday morning. One county East of me, Ashtabula County, OH is still under a State of Emergency. 10's of thousands of people are still without power today.
(Anna and Phred are still without power last I heard as well)

I snapped a few pictures when I was leaving for work Wednesday morning.

Wow, that looks cold! Love the first pictures, espcially the third - quite artsy.

WOW! Looks like you got it much worse than we did here in northeast Indiana. (Great pictures though!) We had freezing rain/sleet most of the afternoon on Tuesday, and it was coming down very hard by time for the commute home. And it kept coming, until about 8 when it changed over to snow. We had about 5 inches of the white stuff on top of the ice for the ride to work Wednesday morning. It was treacherous! All of the schools closed, and they cancelled garbage pickup yesterday! You know it must be bad if they did that!

We have a winter storm watch for Friday into Saturday evening.... wonder what that will bring??!!!

It looks like you weren't going anywhere fast on your way to work. Your pictures are beautiful. I really liked the one of the wheel well. (It took me a minute to figure out what I was looking at. ) I feel like I live on another planet. We have yet to have measurable snow here and today it was warm enough for a light weight coat and the sun was shining beautifully. I am not that far from Ohio.

    Wow, NOT fun driving!

We got lucky and had very little freezing rain, and most of it was well after it snowed. Once the plows (and our shovels) got out there it was easy to get things cleaned up because the ice never got to settle on the road because of the snow first.

    Drive carefully out there.

Most of Ohio is under a Winter Storm Watch till 4am Sunday morning. Some parts of Ohio could have over a foot of snow once it all stops!!

We will be getting all of your moisture, only in the form of rain. They are telling us to expect flooding. My son will be traveling to the Erie, PA area this weekend so that his wife can visit a good friend who just lost her dad. I am sure they will be running into a lot of snow. Fortunately he has a Jeep Wrangler.

Oh yeah, they'll be needing 4 wheel drive for SURE!
I drive to Erie quite often for transports, it's just over an hour due East of me.
