    Scenes From My Park

Anna was here visiting yesterday and we took Tori and Zack for a walk at my local park. Here are a few shots that I took.

Great pictures - glad Anna could come see you! So where's the picture of Zach?

You had Tori AND Zack and still managed to get pictures of ducks without either pup chasing them? I am somewhat stunned! What a variety of ducks you have there - we just have the mallards this time of year. (And swans and Canada geese that forgot to migrate.)

Diana, I didn't post a pic of Zack here because I posted so many in Dog General of him

Karen, yes we do have a variety of ducks and geese. I especially love the Swans! They are my favs. I think we started with two and every year they have their babies and it is always so awesome just to go and sit on a bench and watch them. Now we have 4 regualar Swans and we think the extra two are a couple of the babies from a previous year. This past summer I sat and hand fed one of the swans. He would stretch his long neck out and take the bread right from my hand. I had to be careful though because the other swans were not happy about it and finally made the one swan leave the area. The are so beautiful to watch in motion.

One year some very bad people took the baby swans. Our newspaper pleaded for days for them to be brought back with no questions asked because the babies would die. They were never returned.

Brrrrrrr but that looks cold! I wish I were there! That's the kind of weather that I wanted when I went to Maryland in January but didn't get. Maybe I'm just going in the wrong direction, eh? The park is just beautiful right now. Looks like a wonderful visit. Love the snow!

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.

In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Rachel, the park is very pretty in the spring time and maybe we can take the dogs for a walk when you come to visit.

    Lovely photos. Thank you!
