I know who I am voting for:
Platform: a pet in every home, and a home for every pet
.
LOL Sandy, there is a pet company in Calgary called Oh My Dog - reminds me of the campaign poster you have!

Thanks for the cartoons, Candace, and thanks for thinking of us as you watch from a more civilized outpost..

LOL! More civilized?
Just you wait - there just might be a federal election here in the not-too-distant future. Wow - what if the US gets a Democrat for President? What will our poor Conservative (Repub) Prime Minister do?
Ah, well - it's lonely at the top!

Here's a few regarding our federal party leaders:
Stephane Dion, an intelligent and good man, but protrayed as inept by the media - though he provides opposition to the minority Conservative government. He and his wife have a dog name Kyoto (yeah, I know.). He also wears a backpack about everywhere he goes!
Our Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, will preside over the next national budget to be brought before the House. Dion wants certain things in it - who knows what Harper will say? This cartoon will only link, not paste!

And then, the far left NDP party - Jack Layton, a former University prof. Here poor Stephane is put in the middle....
One more, to see how Harper and Dion fare in the polls...

Thanks, Candace.. I especially like that third cartoon! And only 37% of the electorate had any opinion at all?
The linked cartoon is a good one too.. It made me think of Barack and Hillary getting nastier with each other lately.. and in the not-too-distant future one of them will be the nominee and the other will have to play kissy-face and pretend he or she isn't really that unhappy with the winner's ideas. (Sort of like Mitt with McCain today.)
Do you read Heather Mallick's opinion pieces? I think she's fabulous at nailing Canadian, American, and other all sorts of politicians and windbags.
