I'm totally up to renting a car and staying in hotel.

it's alot of money to spend for just one day.

if I could somehow spark a "mini-gathering" on the Monday with one or two or a few PTers ...
it would be so worth it. How about it?

FIVE HUNDRED to fly in, another $100 to sleep, who knows how much for a rent-a-bus,
    PLUS some meals ... YUPPERz, that's an EXPENSIVE Pic-Nik! >gasp <

    Things to consider:

    * It's OHIO - it could be *S*N*O*W*I*N*G* or raining Buckets - or *NICE*
    * A FEW will camp out in rent-a-beds Sunday night - me & the Mutts, for sure
    * MAYBE include: Karen & Paul; MAYBE Joh & Jonah; ??? Pat & JoJoe & the Huskies ???,
Debbie & Terry & the KATS, others ???
    * A few live close / semi-close: Diana, Christy, Carrie, Amy, Staci ...

IF there's enough desire - we could see if any of the Pavilions are still available for MONDAY -
There is an ENCLOSED Pavilion across the road near the Primitive Camping area -
dunno if it's "heated" - but it does have a fireplace inside. Also not sure about "dawgs" being
allowed inside ??? I'd have to check.

Also, there are "several" Pet Talkers living within a comfortable driving distance from
Findlay who have NEVER attended a Gathurin ... Momorial Day Weekend would be
a GREAT time to attend your FIRST PT Gathurin!

Can we do sumpin on MONDAY - SURE!!

I may come this year...I'll have to wait and see how my money situation is. I also would probably only bring 1 or 2 dogs since I'll be by myself and don't want to try and control all 6 of them...at least I hope to be back to six at that time!

You guys will have to learn my new name too! Well, maybe not quite yet, but...

I think we'll be able to make it down. And since a good friend of ours lives in Findlay, I might be able to convince Andy to spend the night (depending on work schedules).

It'd be great to meet you Slick and to see you again Molly!

I'm here at Brandon's and was asking him if he was going to go with me this year and bring Sammi and Stella. He reminded me that for the past two years we have done the nascar race at Charlotte. So if we go this year than I won't be able to make it to the dog park.

Mike left the week after Thanksgiving and took Tigger (went to the Bridge Dec 14), George, and Billy with him (will probably be getting them back in a couple of weeks). I will be seeing my lawyer tomorrow (Monday) to make necessary arrangements and one of those is taking back my maiden name which is Quinn...I'll actually sound like the Irish lass I am!

Anyway, I will see what I can work out. Maybe I'll bring my friend Carleen with her dog Ewok!

Sorry to hear about Tigger. It sounds like a lot has changed for you.
Are you still working rescue/transport for animals ?

Thanks Liz. It is difficult. Tonight wasn't good. Mike is now saying I won't get Billy and George back. He's mad at me...this pretty much sucks!

Anyway, I am still setting up transports and still drive once in awhile. I am now working with Shelby County, KY's shelter. James, the ACO, is wonderful and loves the animals. Rescue is my passion...that won't ever change.

    Thanks again for caring!

I'm hoping that I will be able to make it this year.

Thanks for thinking of us. I've been reluctant to comment here yet. I don't think we'll be back for the picnic, but I haven't given up hoping for it just yet. Going 750 miles with two dogs, I need to break it up into two days travel with an overnight stop each way. And I'm not so sure Jack would be welcome. I'd have to keep him on a leash while any dogs Beagle-size or smaller were there. There's usually quite a few.
I've thought about it, though. I'd still love to be able to dedicate a Memorial Tree for Sherman & Bowser while all the PTers were there... we'll just have to wait & see as it gets closer.

Why'd ya move so FARR Away?

750 Miles and 12.5 hours of driving IS a LOOOONG way!
We need to find you a Pet Talk Pit Stop around the center of Pennsylvania -
    'bout State College or so.

We'll cross our paws that you'll figure out a way to be there.

{{{Hugs}}} to you Molly, I hope to see you again.

Pat, it's understandable not wanting to make that kind of drive!

So far so good, looks like Sierra and I will be there!

Thanks for all the good wishes! I will try to make it...I promise. It depends on how much money I have. This divorce, while cheap by most standards, is going to kill me! I know I won't be able to be a diehard because I'll have to get back to the dogs.

I'm trying to convince Brandon that we need to do another race this year instead of the one that is on this day. I really really want to make it to this get together!
