You can call me Dr. Kater...

I have been accepted to veterinary school!!!!!

I just received offers for WICHE-sponsored positions in the veterinary programs at Colorado State University and Washington State University. Both also offered me some scholarship money as well. CSU is my FIRST CHOICE and I am ecstatic!!!!!

WICHE's professional student exchange program allows students in states lacking particular professional programs to receive preference in admission and reduced levels of tuition. Essentially this means that I will pay resident tuition, reducing costs by approximately HALF.

I have also had 3 interview offers and will need to decide what to do about those (I applied to 7 schools in total). My mother suggests taking some time to decide (I have until April 15), although my heart is telling me that the decision has already been made.

I have waited years for this day. It is a phenomenal thing to realize a dream of this magnitude. My father told me I would get in and he was absolutely right. I love and miss you, Daddy.

So that's DOCTOR Kater to you!!!

Many thanks to Roxyluvsme13 & k9krazee for my great new siggy!!

Congratulations Kate! This is awesome!! (and your words to your dad made some tears in these eyes) I'm sure your dad is watching you and he's got to be so proud of you.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!
