    Nora, the piano-playing cat

Apparently this has been around UTube (YouTube??) for months, but I just learned of it today.

Here is the link to Nora practicing the piano:

Here is the link of Nora playing duets:

I think these are simply adorable! I hope you enjoy them, too. (And I think Nora looks SO much like my little Cassy-boy!

I thought it was too cute for me to be the original poster, sigh.

Ah well. Have you seen this sequel -- Nora calls a piano tuner?

    Nora, the piano playing cat

Bravissimo Nora!!!!! I have seen these before on the news but these videos just get cuter every time I see them. It must be a tremendous help to Nora's career having Rennie as a live-in piano tuner, excellent job there, Rennie!

By the way, has Nora released a CD yet? If so, it's going right on top of my Christmas wish list!

Oh my gosh I love this story and all of the videos. I am curious as to whether she does it because she likes the music or because she likes the feel of the keys moving. Cats are just so amazing!

I believe it was Astrid that posted the concerto "catcerto" featuring Nora earlier this month.

According to a newspaper article, Nora has been named Cat-of-the-Year by the ASPCA.

An excerpt from the article quotes the ASPCA as saying when announcing the award, "Nora is a talented example of how shelter pets - far from being cast offs - often make the best animal companions."

Nora, a 5 year old gray tabby was adopted by Betsy Alexander of Philadelphia
from a shelter in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This sweet kitty has appeared on tv programs and even inspired a composition by a Lithuanian conductor.

    Concatulations, Nora!
