fish food recalled

They said in the beginning of all the recalls: melamine is used to bulk up the protein in dog, cat, fish, rodent, and livestock foods. I didn't think they'd bother recalling rodent or fish food simply because the animals have little value to us and we normally don't do necropsies to find out why Nemo died. I think many large scale aquariums have been seeing deaths due to the food though so they had to recall to avoid business lawsuits.

Will this never end???? First cat and dog food,then dog and cat treats then some ferret food know fish food.

Wow I didn't even know that it went into fish food too. That is terrible, think of how many fish died and all the owners didn't know why I"m so glad my fish didn't get any of that food. Rest in Peace to all the fishies who passed because of this.

Oh great! I don't feed any of that, but one more thing to worry about. I never even thought about my fish foods. Thanks for posting this info.

I presume any fish or small animal food made with wheat that comes from China is going to have the melamine. They don't have a bunch of different factories making their own wheat gluten, it all comes from the same place.
