I'm sure most of you have read this story by "Jim Willis", but for those of you that haven't, please check it out. It's powerful, tender and every single pet owner in this world should read it. It applies to any type of pet dropped off at a shelter.

It made me bloody cry because I had to put down my eldest son on May 7th.. The wound is still fresh, and that story just tore it open again.

Now I'm sitting here, bawling my eyes out AGAIN over my Smudgie because there was no way I could be there with him in his last moments.. I would change my mind when I knew it was best for him..

I don't like that story at all.
