    Tango

Tango woke up this morning and can't move/has no control of her entire back end at all. She just lays down crying, howling, shaking, and panting. We'll be going to the vet's in about an hour (when they open). I'd appreciate it if you could all keep my girl in your thoughts in the mean time though. The same thing happened to her brother (Winter) last November, and he ultimately had to be PTS.

Most recent (and last) update just incase you can't find it:

He said there's a possibility that she had a tumor on her spinal cord (but wouldn't know unless he opened her up), or she had degenerative disc disease. He's 98% sure it was the latter, and either way, the outcome wouldn't have been good. When I saw her today, she had no feeling at all from about the base of her neck, down her back. It was awful.

I hope nobody thinks we should have tried harder. We did what we could, and putting her to sleep was our best option and the best decision for her. She wouldn't have been happy at all being stuck in a wheel chair for the remainder of her life - she just isn't that type of dog.

LES You and Tango will be in my thoughts today.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thinking about you and Tango. I think you're in Calgary. Did you know that there is a new pet emergency hospital just off of Glenmore and Deerfoot that's open 24 hours? I've even seen ambulances there! They are very highly recommended. I sure hope Tango is ok.
