    RIP Kermit

I thought I'd let you know... I recently bought a new house and moved in, but alas, my little Froggie, Kermit, didn't make it.

I got him about 2 years ago, and he was already 3 years old when I picked him up, so he lived a total of 5 years. That, according to all my sources, is the maximum lifespan for one of these little guys, so it was his time.

He lived a full life, and he's in a better place now. But at least I can always remember him from all the beautiful pictures I was able to get.

    Here's the best one:

Rest in peace, little buddy. I will miss your nightly singing...

Thank you everyone. The stand for his cage arrived this past friday. I put it together because I plan to re-use his cage in the future for another Red-Eyed Tree Frog (or two, or three)..

Poor Kermit was lonely all by himself - when I get the new ones they'll at least have company.

I plan to rebuild the cage interior though, rip out that nasty artificial styrofoam backing that makes a half-hearted attempt to look like a rock wall, and put something natural there instead... I'll also put brand new rocks and soil in...

I'm also going to remove the waterfall so that I have more room to replant. Once I've gotten all the plants thriving and grown in so that it looks more like a tropical jungle than it does now, then I will consider buying new frogs.

I figure with the misting system nozzle mounted firmly in the top of the cage, I shouldn't need a waterfall, right?
