I am glad we can help people. It is sad when I hear someone has been told "It's just a dog ..." like that means it was less valuable a life than a person's, so one shouldn't be sad?

I was raised knowing our pets are our family members - in fact often the dog was "the good kid" when us human children were in trouble ...
