Hi, I just need to vent a little here. As some of you know I've been looking to replace my old ugly and destroyed metal window blinds. I finally found a great replacement but I have to order them. They're from Blair but have to come from the manufacturer first so it takes quite a while to receive them.

I put in my first order for 2 ivory shades on May 19,2007. I did this on the internet and they are $34.99 each and there was no shipping or handling fee so it's a total of $69.98. It took well over a month to receive these and I finally got them in early July. They were 46 1/2" wide but this was still not wide enough when I mounted them from the inside. There was a 1" gap on each side.

I called back on July 3rd and I ordered 2 new shades and I decided to mount them from the outside so I changed the width to 51". I returned the other 2 shades for credit. I received the credit without any problems. I then received the second new order on July 26th and I noticed that the manufacturer's invoice said that they were only 35" wide but Blair's invoice said that they were 51" wide. Well they were only 35" wide.

I called back on July 27th and I told the lady that I received the wrong size again and it wasn't Blair's fault but it was the manufacturers. I then told her to reorder 2 more ivory shades 51" wide and I'd return the 35" shades. I also had to wait for a new smartlabel since I couldn't use the one that was attached to this order because of the size difference.

I received a letter from Blair with the smartlabel in early Aug. and I mailed the 35" wide shades back to them on Aug.6th. I received an e-mail from Blair saying that my new order had been shipped out but it said 1 in the quantity section. I didn't think anything of it at first because I thought it might mean that it was 1 package being shipped.

I decided to call back today and I found out that they only ordered 1 51" shade this time so only 1 is being shipped to me. This time it's Blair's fault. They also charged me $39.99 for this shade and it's already been billed to my account. I also found out that they haven't received the other shades that I shipped back to them and that since I checked off exchange that now when they open them up they'll think that I want 2 more 51" shades. So now the lady put some details on my account that I only need 1 more shade not 2.

I also have to call back tomorrow and talk to some one in the customer service specialist department to let them know about the price difference that I'm being charged. Later on in the week I have to call back Blair again to make sure that they only ordered 1 more shade and not 2. This whole thing has become the biggest nightmare.Will I ever get my 2 shades this year?
