Five years ago today, my little timid boys arrived:
How they spent most of their puppyhood; trying to become one with their concrete kennel; Antare always in front, protecting his terrified brother, despite his own fears.
They are still timid little guys, some things can't be fixed, but they have made great progress. That first day, it took hours to coax them out of my truck. This morning, Antare and I had a little debate about wether or not he was going outside! Antare is a fine little sled dog who will put up with just about anything if it means he can go for a run!
Delta is still more timid than his brother, but he's made progress too. He's easier to catch and seems to enjoy a little attention sometimes. Every morning he greets with a playbow and a wooooooo. Somedays he continues our morning chat all day if I'm outside. Every time I look at his sweet face, I am grateful he came back.
