Anything I can do about Kennel Cough?

Morgan and Tango both have kennel cough and the vet's office said that they can't fit them in as they'e too busy. Is there anything I can do for them? My mom picked them up some sort of cough medicine that the vet said should work, but it doesn't seem to be doing a whole lot. Tango is throwing up about every 10mins (nothing more than bile, but it still bothers me).

I've heard of people giving vitamin C tablets to their dogs to help. However, please consult with your vet first if you decide to give those.

I would call another vet and get them in asap.
It is highly contagious, and they can develop conjunctivitus and pnemonia as well.

We've just gone through this. Sherman developed KC, and the vet told me that some honey on bread would help stop the cough. I also tried a child's cough supressent, which is supposed to help. Actually I think Sherman gaged on that more than his cough gaged him.

The vet said it's usually a combination of viral & bacterial infections, and they may give a couple things to treat it. Sherman was on an antibiotic & a cough medication. It's been a week, and he's almost over it. His eyes cleared up right away. He's still hacking a bit.

Thanks you guys. We'll definitely get them into a vet tomorrow. I definitely don't want them to get any worse than they already are.
