    TV food shows-competitions

What food TV shows do you watch?

I like Top Chef, Hell's Kitchen and saw another one on BBC that had Gordon Ramsey on it, it was called "The F word" (F meaning food!)- It's the same kind of format as Hell's kitchen. Ramsey has four cooks who prepare meals for a restaurant full of patrons, He also gives people tips on cooking and visits with the patron of the eatery.

One thing about the BBC program- because the accents were so thick I had to run the captions during the program. The only word I could pick out was the real "F" word.

But which Food compettion shows do you watch?

I used to watch Hell's Kitchen when it was on over here. The first series with Gordon Ramsey were sooo funny, then he took it to the states. The next series had two teams headed by either Jean-Christophe Novelli or Gary Rhodes. I suppose we didn't like their version as much because it's not been filmed again since.

I've watched the F word a few times, sometimes it's good, other times it just seems Gordon's going over the top. Plus, he doesn't use the actual 'f word' that much, instead substituted mainly for the 'b word' , so I've always felt the show is a bit contradictory, lol.

I'm no fan of Gordon (he's against vegetarianism for a start) but he's a typical Brit!

Others, hmmm let's see. Well occasionally before I go to work I watch Saturday Cooks, and sometimes when I come back good ol' Delia or Nigella will have a programme on.

Out of those I've only seen the Next Food Network Star. I haven't had a chance to watch the others, though.

Food competitions period? I loooove the cake contests and sugar contests.

I've seen Hell's Kitchen a few times, but I really think Gordon Ramsey is over the top!

I used to see Jamie Oliver's programmes, and also Keith Floyd's - oh, and the two fat ladies - they could cook a good meal! (can't rememebr their names).

    Gary Rhodes, I like too.

I've only seen "Top Chef" once, but it was fun! I chose "other" because I don't really watch any of them...I'll feel silly if that was an option. Oh yeah, there was that option, but it didn't really apply...I just don't watch a lot of tv!

I love FoodNetwork and especially the competitions Top Chef and Next Food Network Star. Guy Fieri was such fun! I also enjoy Iron Chef and my favorite in Bobby Flay.

I watched Hell's Kitchen one time and did not care for that guy - too mean and nasty for my taste. I guess it is entertainment though I wonder how much is real and if he really acts like that towards young chefs.

The cake and sugar competions are such fun to watch.

I have only seen Hells Kitchen once but thought it was quite interesting. I am not sure if it is on here anymore or if they axed it after episode 1 .
