A painting of Mike's dog, Dozer.

I am doing this as a graduation gift for Mike; since he is graduating in 2 weeks from THE Ohio State University. I thought it'd be a nice gift; a painting of his dog that he is very inseperable with. His name is Dozer, a black lab. What do you think? It is not complete yet; but so far, I think I am doing alright..

You're the one sure thing I've found so you better stick around...

Thanks! I am using acrylic paint.. I really like it.. it's so easy to use; and so easy to blend colors...

So far so good, but I wanted to say "Dozer, open your eyes!" I know you just haven't gotten to them yet ...

Oh how nice, it's a white shepard, right?

He he, I know, obviously a black lab. What wonderful idea for a present! You are quite talented!

Very good! I know he'll love it. Anything made from the heart is a special gift. And if it looks great, that's a plus When I was dabbling in paints decades ago, acrylic was my favorite, as well.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Looks great so far! I am not an artist (in any way), but I imagine doing the black must be hard to get the shading right and all that.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!
