    "Rabbit, Rabbit" Superstition

Today is May 1st and I heard this on the morning radio show. The host said that on the first day of every month, right after you awaken, you have to say (out loud) "Rabbit, Rabbit" to wish yourself good luck for the month. I have never heard that before! (I wonder if it works if I name as many Pet Talk bunnies as I can?) Anyway PT'ers, I wish you all a very happy and successful month of May!
Praying for peace in the Middle East, Ukraine, and around the world.

I've been Boo'd ... right off the stage!

Aaahh, I have been defrosted! Thank you, Bonny and Asiel!
Brrrr, I've been Frosted! Thank you, Asiel and Pomtzu!

I think saying, "Ms Hoppy, Ms.Hoppy" to be far more appropriate!

And one more for good measure [Kalei's Kishii]

Rabbit turd, rabbit turd (look, life size right in that picture of Benny and Snowy!)

    Never heard that one.

Mom taught us this one: on the first day of the month, you go up to someone (in our house, it was MOM getting the kids, te hee) and:

"A pinch and a punch the first day of the month, and no returns."

Complete with a gentle pinch and punch.

Needless to say, the "gentle" was forgotten between me and my brother!

Actually my Grandmother (RIP) was very English and she always used to say "White Rabbits" on the first of every month and I still do it to this day. Doesn't work though because my lottery winnings haven't come through yet
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
