    Your favourite CKC/AKC breeds

    It's always hard for me to pick my favourite breeds by group, because there are so many of them, but once I narrow it down to only CKC or AKC breeds, it's much easier! Don't just go by your favourite by looks or whatever though --- go by something you would actually GET if you were forced to pick one from that group.

    Sporting - Chesapeake Bay Retriever


    Hound - Rhodesian Ridgeback


    Working - Doberman


    Terrier - Bull Terrier


    Toy - Italian Greyhound


    Non-sporting - Schipperke


    Herding - Belgian shepherd

    Hound - Basset Hound

    (It took me a long time to decide between Bassets and Dachshunds! I love both breeds equally.)

    Working - Great Dane


    Terrier - American Staffordshire Terrier


    Toy - I don't think I would actually get a breed from this group.

    Non-Sporting - Again I don't think I would get a breed from this group.

    Sporting - Brittany or Toller (preferably Toller... but I only know of 1 breeder in Cali!)

    Hound - Greyhound or Whippet

    Working - Siberian Husky

    Terrier - JRT

    Toy - Papillon

    Non-Sporting - Boston Terrier

    Herding - Border Collie! If I had to choose a different breed, Cardigan Welsh Corgi or Aussie.
