Yes, I agree with it because that's what some breeds we bred to do!
As long as it's not done at an early age and it's done properly.
Just like any working breed... they love to work!

I agree!!! Just like anything as long as the dog enjoys it, and it is done properly!

    Weight pulling

No I dont like & wont watch on TV.. I know some dogs have the strength & all for it, but I think its more of a Man thing of My Dog Can Do It thing.. I cant stand the contest where the dog hangs by his/her teeth from a rope in a tree & circles.. Its disgusting..

Most Bully breeds do that for fun. Soemtimes without even ebign trained to they just jump up and grab the rope. I don't have a problem with weight pulling either. Most of the dog afterwords are so happy. I agree with Pitc9.

knowing a dog personally who does weight pulling, he is so happy to do it. He goes crazy with excitement when he is about to wight pull. They love it, so no I agree with it because they were bred to do this. It's just like hunting dogs were bred to hunt.
Thanks so much Ashley for the siggy!

yes I agree with it! And lvpets2002, that is called hang time and all of those dogs love to do it. If they didn't want to they'd let go.
A lot of people think practices are "cruel" without knowing the whole story.

You can't force a dog to weight pull.. so I don't see anything wrong with it.

I see nothing wrong with it either. I've never actually watched a weight pulling event, but the dogs I've seen that do it look like they are having a blast!

lvpets2002, like the others said, if the dog didn't want to hang like that it would simply let go. When I volunteered at the humane society where I use to live there was a pittie there that would hang around by a rope hanging from a tree all day if ya let him. He got a rush out of it.

I also agree with Pitc9. Any sport can be dangerous to any dog if done improperly. Done properly, though, I'm sure they love it.

Our English bulldog will BEG to grab onto a rope toy, and have my husband pick her up and twirl her around. She LOVES it, and we never taught or encouraged her to do so.
