Thread: Can you make mine go away too?

Can you make mine go away too?

It's not a headache, but I guess it's a stye or a cyst or something. Hot compresses aren't working! It's actually making me feel kind of sick. I called out of work today because I was NOT going to be around people looking like this.

    Please pardon my fluffy eyebrows.

Thanks Karen. I am still doing the compresses...-sigh- hopefully it will go down by tomorrow so I can go to work.

That actually kind of scared me..this is my second one (in the same spot) in two months-it says it can be a form of cancer?? Scary!! Hopefully it will go away, and if it comes back again I may need to see a doctor... (I hate doctors)

I had that before. I got the day off school too, my mom tried to make me go by saying it's barley noticable! I guess she thought I was feeling a little out of it to go with my eye cause I don't think I would say that isn't noticable. But it did just end up going away after a day.

I have had several stys on the upper lids of my eyes over the years (many more on the lower eye) - they are painful and irritating - you just have to keep putting the warm cloths on the eyes until they finally break. It can take a few days to completely heal. There is some stuff on the drugstore shelves that can ease the pain and irritabilty a little but does nothing towards curing it.

You may need an antibiotic. I would suggest a visit to an ophthalmologist. My son had the same thing and was put on Keflex and it went away.
