No Poop During the day again!!

Im not sure if anyone remembers when corona stopped pooping, and only pooping in the middle of the night in her kennel. well the doctor told us it was because she had inflamation in her colon, so we gave her the medicine and all seemed well!
well guess what? Back Again! I dont understand what keeps causing this? does anyone have any experience with this problem or have heard of anything to possibly cure it. I mean i dont mind taking her to the doctor for the medicine but she just had this maybe a month ago, i cant keep spending close to $100 per bottle of medicine everytime this happeneds as it seems as though it may happen alot!
I hope it doesnt but geez...my kinda fun isnt shoving a pill down her throat everyday and shes gagging on my finger and cleaning wall to wall poop out of her kennel every night!
any suggestions would be very helpful
P.S. she has an appt. tomorrow(monday). I couldnt take her on saturday cause i had to work and my boyfriend is gone.
    thanks again!

Okay- I will give this a shot for you to ask your vet about. Dogs that have inflamed colons or low levels of pancreatic problems, can easily need to go poop in stress. Strange as this may seem- if there was one of these two underlying conditions for a while, and something happened, maybe now she sees the crate as a stress.. Two different events- meeting at one time.
Femka has this condition- stress will make her have to go. The vet suggested her thyroid maybe be a contributing factor- and after watching her, I had her tested. Sure enough it was. Now - you are thinking-- WHAT ON EARTH DOES THE THYROID HAVE TO DO with the colon or bowel. Actually the thyroid is the regulator for so many other functions.. Even helps her manage pancreatic fluids. Femka has a spot on her spleen- the enzymes this creates she would not be able to handle without the thyroid medication, creating stress diareah as well.
Occasionally- when I leave Femka to go out- she will poop in a matter of minutes after I have left.I have found a coalation between her not having her morning pill early enough before I leave, and this event.. Now- if I am going to leave- I make sure if nothing else, she gets her pill 3 hours before I leave. And its not seperation anxiety either as we taped her on a camera to see if there was any evidence of this. It does make her a little nervous and without the thyroid pill, just enough to create the sensation she has to go..
Have your doctor do a full thyroid panel. Meaning like here, it goes to Michigan state. If low but in range but barely, thyroid medication will help alot in regulating the pancreatic fluids, and colon enzymes.
Short term solve would be for her to sleep in your room, out of her crate. Put up a child gate so she doesnt have to worry about the whole house. To start with- take a " nap" nap today. Get a comforter put it on the floor so she knows thats "her" spot-.. Even if you just lay in bed and read- this will give her the idea before tonight.
Other indicators of thryoid- dry coat- , weight, "worry" , seeking cold, or getting too hot easily. ( hypo or hyperthyroid.) . Talk it over with your vet. This could be behavioral as in this is triggering worry in the crate- especially if now she has done this enough and knows she shouldnt, triggering worry- to excess colon enzymes or pancreatic enzymes- then the behavior turns to a down spiral verses a up sprial- all because of a medical problem.
Thyroid problems can also trigger behavior problems as the brain is " mis firing" meaning more worried than they would have been, more fear than they would have had.. I have posted so much on how femka was when we got it- and most ended up being a medical reason triggered by hyperthyroidism. I never really realized prior to femka just how MUCH the thyroid function controls/ contributes into the other organs.

First, why would you want to shove a pill down a dog's throat with your fingers? Wrap the pill in some partially melted cheese, or hide it inside some peanut butter. The dog will never know there's a pill inside the cheese or peanut butter. It disappears fast, and will maintain your fingers in good working order.

In reviewing your previous posts your Vet prescribed a "pill", and some "stuff" to sprinkle on the food. Unclear whether the Vet has done a blood panel work up, tested several fecal samples, or just prescribed an anti-inflamatory, or antibiotic, or ??? This chronic diarrhea could be caused by anything from malabsorption, food allergy, parasites, intestinal overgrowths of bacteria, or a metabolic disorder. If you want to get to the root cause then the Vet will need to run diagnostics, and especially examine several fecal samples for parasites such as giardia which are sometimes difficult to find. If s/he is at a loss to explain the cause, then ask for a referral to a specialist. You'll get hit with some hefty expenses up front, but it's better than spending $100 a month for the rest of the dog's life.

I agree, did the vet do any blood or fecal tests on Corona?

she would never have to poop before we took her. But we took her about 2 weeks ago(when she was pooping fine) and she had round worms. They gave us some medicine and we went to a diff. vet yesterday, because ours was sick and he manually had to get a fecal from her and all was okay on the round worm and any worm horizon.
I dont know if this is good or bad though...
the different vet gave us some science diet(soft dog food) that has ALOT of fiber in it, i was wary but gave her a can last night, this morning she pooped a TON, and so i gave her the second can a little bit ago. Well she pooped, but VERY runny, almost like water but still had some consistency i guess.
I dont know if that is sovling the problem or just making her poop because she just absolutely needs too. if that doesnt make sense ill go into further detail but thanks everyone!

It sounds as though Vet #2 is believing it's a temporary overgrowth of bacteria in the intestine, and wants to keep the diet bland. Also a more bland diet could help for other problems.

Given the amount of time this has been going on and off, if it were my dog I would be insisting on a blood panel. Also I'd ask for a short term course of metronidazole. This drug is effective at getting rid of any hidden protozoan infections such as giardia, will hit some bacteria (good and bad), and also has anti-inflamatory effects on the intestinal walls. If metronidazole is to work, it will usually kick in very quickly (e.g. 24-36 hrs). But I'd still want a blood panel for the Vet to review, just in case there is some other hidden problem. If the problem persisted beyond these steps, then I'd be asking for a referral to a doggy Vet specialist.

my normal vet told me that after she goes through this antibiotic and it comes back like it did, then she'd do a blood test.
