    Parvo Outbreak!!!

Sorry this isn't on the internet... it's too small a newspaper to have a website. In the seaway valley (close to were I live) thers been mass dogs put down from parvo. Normally around here the vet gets about 1 parvo case every week and a half. They've had more than 20 cases in the last 2 weeks!!! All what could have been prevented from vaccinations.

One story was the OSPCA found a dog tied to a street corner in diareha and blood and they tested him for parvo. Sure enough, he had it. No one claimed him, so they put him down.

*more coming when I find the paper (that is all I can remember from the article)*

That sounds similar as it is here. I don't think they're connected though. lol..

there isn't much more in the aritcle... just a few cases and a description of parvo. Made the front page. Thers also an editorial by "dog lady" saying to vaccinate your dogs now because the vaccine takes 10 days to be effective. I imaging the vets are pretty busy with all this now...

  6. Vaccinations

I just came across some research today that says that, although vaccinations against Parvo can be highly effective, not all brands of vaccine are the same.

Apparently, when given at the same age, some brands are 100% effective while others have no effect at all.
