Wow, have I been around greys and whippets too long or is that dog huge?! It doesn't even look that tall, but look at the bult and the width of the legs. And yet it looks like it is at a perfect wieght. It looks really healthy. I can't imagine what an overwieght one would look like.

I think everydog looks big too moi these days. The first thing I noticed about 8 below. "wow, look at the width of those dog's legs."

    haha, I've gone crazy!

My favorites are the pointing breeds, including the standard poodle who isn't even considered a pointing breed any more.

Their extreme athleticism, boundless energy, eagerness to please, trainability, adaptability, versatility, and the ability to think on their own are all endearing traits to me. These same traits can also be extremely challenging to a first time owner.
To train a dog you have to think like a dog!

You know..I'm not a big fan of a lot of the terriers, but both of my all-time favorite breeds are terriers.

I voted herding dog, since I have one. I'm sure if/when I get a different dog I'd like that group. LOL
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

I love the terriers, of course. But I also like non-sporting, I think it is by far the most interesting, diverse and entertaining group to watch.

My favorite is the working group. I love big breeds, especially the Great Danes and Mastiffs. I don't think I will ever have another giant breed, unless we buy our own house. I don't ever want to have to go through re-homing ever again.

Agreed! I love, love, love huge working dogs. Any kind of mastiff, especially!

However, I had to pick scent hounds cuz I could never be happy without a beagle in my life.
