    Dog bones

I've been giving my dogs nylabones, but recently I read that nylabones are not good for your dog because they can break off in sharp peices. My vet told me that rawhide isn't good for my dogs either. But both of my dogs are teething and I dont know of any kind of bone to give them. Any suggestions?

There is a post on here somewhere about the Nylabone problem. Supposedly it was just one type of Nylabone product but I don't give Kia any kind of Nylabone. She won't chew on them anyway.

I know rawhide is supposed to be bad, but Kia loves it!

I know, I started my dogs off on rawhide and they loved it too, but it started making Benny sick so I had to stop. I'll look for that post, I must have missed it. Thanks!

I have two dogs, a golden retriever and a lab-pit bull mix. As you can imagine, finding toys to stand up to their teething was near impossible.

Rawhide makes my lab-mix, Addie, sick. They both like nylabones, and I have never had a prob with the regular kind. The dentabone kind was coming apart in chunks in less than 30 minutes of play.

I love KONG products! They are a bit more expensive than other toys, but it because they actually last! There are balls, bones, treat toys, and the ever-famous Kong cone. I get them at petsmart. Every toy other than rawhide, nylabones, and kongs are destroyed in 15-30 minutes (yes I timed). My dogs have yet to destroy a single kong toy. I bought a kong cone, when I got Addie. A year, few months, and another dog later, it is still in perfect condition.

KONG? I've never heard of it. But I will definately go get some KONG bones. Anything to keep them from chewing on shoes and the sofa. Thanks!
