Where Did You Buy Your Pets- Shelter, Breeder, Pet Shop Or Anyother??

Where did you buy your pets?? A shelter, breeder, pet shop, a friend or did you just rescue them off the street?

    Well, let's see:
My dad bought Angel from my grandpa's friend because their cat had kittens. Snow was bought by my mom's boyfriend from a shelter.
So let's see, I voted for friend and shelter

I got Colbi from the local SPCA. She and her brother were brought it because they were abused.

Tango is from a friend's accidental litter and is the only one I could vote for.

Winston and Morgan are rescues, but we didn't find them as strays. We adopted them from breed specific rescues.

Piper's a foster, and we took her from an abusive situation. Tia was born here, after we rescued her mom.

My Toller will be from a great breeder, and as will most of my future dogs I'm sure.

Breeder for Goofy, we wanted a show dog again. The dobies are from Breed rescues, so didnt vote them in. 2 Cats are shelter kitties the others were a feral rescue (can we say sucker and foster failure? ) Guinea piggies were from the school, teach didn't want them back after we took them for summer vacation. Snakes were a rescue.Birds 3 were a gift 20 yrs ago and the other 2 were a rescue. Rats from a pet store as snake food (again can we say sucker...............)

One was a stray/rescue in an exotic creatures store; the other was a barn kitten.

My three oldest are from shelters.

My newest was brought to me by someone saying they found him on the streets. We believe he was really their dog and they wanted to get rid of him.

Both of my dogs are from rescues, and all my future dogs will be from rescues.

I got my first dog from a pet store. I was in college, was very young and knew nothing about puppy mills, BYB's, or pet stores. That will NEVER happen again!

My second dog came from my friends, who were getting divorced, selling their house and moving. They couldn't keep her, so I took her. Best gift I've EVER gotten from a friend.

After that, I got involved with humane societies and rescues, and that is where all my other dogs came from.

Except for Rosie, whom I bought for my husband's birthday last year. I bought her from a breeder ... something I NEVER thought I'd do. But, my husband had his heart set on a brindle, female English bulldog puppy. Not much chance of that in rescue or shelters. I looked long and hard for the best breeder I could find, believe me.
