What a beautiful home these two have been adopted into and such lovely people also. It has really done my heart good to see them adjusting so well in such a short time.
I saw Sweetpea first as she was on the main floor where we were. She was sitting on a chair under the dining room table. I bent down and started to talk to her and she got up and climbed up on my chest. Just like she use to do when I was on the computer. Needless to say that LES kicked in, as I didn't realize how much I missed her. The people are so amazed with her. They said that she is such an adorable, sweet, loving, sociable little girl and just love her to death.
Unfortunately they had to bring her to the vet yesterday as she had injured one of her nails and it was lifted up and bleeding a bit. They, nor the vet, couldn't get over how well she handled having her nail looked after. They even put an e-collar on her as they didn't know how she would react. She didn't hiss, growl or try to scratch or bite them at all. She just took it all in stride. Gosh, she is such a sweetheart. They had to cut the whole nail off and they said that she should heal up nicely. Carol had to change the litter to a dry newspaper litter that look like pellets, so Sweetpea doesn't get any dust in the wound. She goes back on Friday to have it checked out along with PeaPod when he gets his booster shot.
Now for PeaPod. Their daughter Elena, went downstairs to get him where he was sleeping. She brought him up to me and I just reached out for the little fluff bums. Poor little guy was sooooo tired, he just fell back to sleep in my arms. Still just as adorable as ever. Well, it has only been 5 days, so can't really see any change in either of them.
All in all, it was a pleasant visit and they will definitely keep me updated and send me pictures for all to enjoy.
Okay, on with the pictures in the next post.
