I'm not sure what the plural of platypus is. I think it might be one of those words that are plural already like moose, or fish.

I'd have to say birds(parrots in particular). =]
Though rats come in a close second.

I'll write a short list of my favorite animals [that I can remember]. My order goes from most favorite to least favorite:

- Deer
- Dogs
- Wolves
- Wild Dogs
- Cats
- Wild Cats
- Birds
- Crocodiles//Alligators

I do in general prefer wild animals over domestic animals. There are more animals I like of course, but the only domestic animal I truly love is the dog. I forgot to add to my list though that I also really like horses, which I guess is also considered domestic.

Oh yes, the Maned Wolf is definitely one I love. I also love horses, I just forgot to add them to the list.

Bunnies, cats, dogs, pandas, wolves, orcas, dolphins and tigers.

Horses have to be by far my favourite domestic animal, followed very closely by rats and then cats. After those three I love all other domestic pets pretty much on the same level (though of course, I would be more than happy to own any animal!)

I've always had a fascination for orcas because I just find them so beautiful and intelligent. Also, if there was one endangered animal that I wish would be saved from extinction the most it would have to be the tiger.
