I read in a magazine that dogs and cats that sleep on your bed make you sleep better and I find it to be very true.

It depends on the person, in my opinion. If someone has allergies, then no, it isn't healthy for your dog to sleep with you but many people let them anyway (myself included...but my allergies are mild and I don't react much to longhaired dogs so I'm fine). They can also disrupt someone's sleep if the person moves around a lot and wakes up easily because the dog or cat is in the way. This is all just what I've heard and is probably true, but I know I sleep much better with my dog than without.

Me too. I have had a dog in my bed almost as long as I have been alive and believe me I am old.

I think it's fine as long as you don't have bad allergies or allergies to pet dander.

I sleep with 2 of mine on the bed, one has slept with me for 4 years and my GSD has slept with me since she was a 9 week old puppy.

I suppose it depends on whether or not having a dog hog the pillow bothers your sleep or not...

Oh it is a health hazard-to wake up with frito feet in your face!

The only health hazard is if Buddy sleeps with his butt near my face and he has gas!

Every night is the same... Buddy shares my pillow and Sierra sleeps in the crook of my legs (I sleep on my side) and she tucks the covers around my legs and keeps me warm and comfy!

I was going to say the same about Bon!

Honestly though, the only reason I could think it would be bad would be if you had allergies or if the dog kept you awake moving during the night.

The only hazard I face is if one of the dogs is caught on my husbands side of the bed.

I don't sleep good without the dogs, some nights casey doesn't want that much togetherness and I truly don't sleep as well.
