Thread: Kramer is barfing everywhere!!!!

    Kramer is barfing everywhere!!!!

Does anyone know whats going on with her? She not acting like herself. Shes being very friendly (not her usual self by the way) and she is barfing everywhere.

She is 5 years old and the only thing that has changed is that there has been a stray hanging around the property not inside the house just around it.

    I can totally relate!

Has your kitty gotten into anything or digested anything unusual..i.e. plants, foreign objects, medicines, etc??

Is he on a new food or any meds?

Does he have any contact with other animals? Did he catch something?

I an not replying with any advice because I am not a vet. CALL ONE!

There are tons of caring people here, but no vets that I know of.

She hasn't gotten into anything that we know of. My friend lives on a farm and this happened to her cats and she said to stop feeding them for a couple of days and the upset stomach will slow down a bit. Shes alot better since we been feeding her very tiny amounts of bread.

You need to take her to the vet. Cats dehydrate quickly under those cirumstances. At least get her on some fluids at the vet, see what they say, and go from there. It's better to go and spend the money on at least an exam than to have something happen to her and you feel awful.

I'm glad to read that Kramer is doing better now. Is she still drinking and being active?

If she is still doing well, you could hold her food off until tomorrow morning to give her little tummy a chance to heal from all the vomiting. Then just feed her small amounts for the day to see how she does. If she continues to do well, then the next day she should be able to go back to her regular feeding.

But if she should continue with the vomiting, then a trip to the vets is in order.

That's good to know that she is still drinking and that she has stopped vomiting. It's hard to see our furkids sick like this, because they can't tell us what is wrong.

I'll check in tomorrow night to see how she is doing.

Prayers on the way that she continue to do well.

Thank you! I'm the only one in my family who likes her so I feel like it's my fault because of that annoying stray that might have given her this.

This morning she barfed three times and we found her eating our dogs food even though she has food of her own in her bowl she insists on eating curly's food. How can I stop her from doing that?

Okay, she should not be vomiting just because she is eating the dog food, unless she has a sensitive stomach to it. My guys dip into the dog food also and have never been sick from it.

I would definitely consider taking her to the vet for a check up. There is obviously something quite not right for her to still be vomiting.

In regards to her eating the dog food. If you can, put her in a closed room while the dogs are eating or at least supervise to make sure she doesn't get into the food and then when the dogs are finished, put there food away somewhere, where she can't get into it.

How is she doing tonight? Has she vomited any more since this morning?

Yes. I agree - get her to the vet.

She may have something stuck in her system...she may need an x-ray.

Please, please, get her looked at by a professional.
