Help! Tell me what kind of dog you think this is

A few months ago my friend found this puppy and seeing as I live on a farm and have been without a dog for awhile I of course took him in. But I'm not all that good at telling what kind of breed he is so I thought I'd ask you guys and get your opinion. He is smart lovable and a little fiesty. He just started loosing a tooth or two so I imagine he is around five or six months old I attached a few pics of him when we first got him and a couple of him from today. Your input is appreciated thanks!

I see some border collie- at first I thought chow, until you said the age. And with those ears, maybe a little sheltie? How much does he weigh?

Okay- at that weight border collie and maybe some sheltie. At 6 months old, most of the growth spurt is done.
Cute as a button though! Any black spots on the tongue?

I say lab and shepherd mix. When you carry him to the Vet. ask them what they think he is.

I see some sheltie as well, the ears and face. Can't say exactly what else at the moment though, give me some time to think about it lol.

He's adorable though. What is his personality like? Have you had any herding behaviors from him?

Definitely Border Collie. I also see a little Belgian Shepherd maybe? Just say he's a Rare Heintz Variety Fiftysevendoodle.

What kind of dog do I think this is? Can I just say "A cute one"!!! I like the first photo where his eyes are very blue. As far as the name - Jean-Baptiste Perrin was a French physicist who won the Nobel Prize ....
