    A Sweet One

    The Kiss...

He had just saved her from a fire in her house, rescuing her by carrying

her out of the house into her front yard, while he continued to fight the

    fire.

    She is pregnant.

When he finally got done putting the fire out, he sat down to catch his

    breath and rest.

A photographer from the Charlotte, North Carolina newspaper, "The

Observer," noticed her in the distance looking at the fireman.

He saw her walking straight toward the fireman and wondered what she was

    going to do.

As he raised his camera, she came up to the tired man who had saved her

life and the lives of her babies and kissed him just as the photographer

    snapped this photograph.

And people say animals are dumb.

This story was on snopes.com -- If I remember correctly, the man didn't actually save the dog.

Well whether he was the rescuer or not, it shows that after a terrible ordeal, the dobie had kisses for the people involved instead of being afraid of them.
A dog with good temperment either by how it was raised or born with it, can over come anything. Some times we dismiss the abused ones as not being able to come around and be wonderful pets ( none of us of course). However we all know they can come from a life changing event and with time, be just fine..

I don't think the fact that this story isn't completely accurate (although, it almost is.....) it doesn't change the emotion at all.

These firefighters were still prepared to save these dogs from the fire - I didn't see it mentioned, but maybe they saved the people in the house. Perphaps Cinnamon is thanking him for being there, for saving her home.
