    Tweety my Canary JUST died

My tweety bird. was outside in his cage so he could be outside and warm. Well i was on the computer, heard something outside. Saw this BIG bird who was by the cage went outside yelled at it to leave. Don't know what it was, it was Big gray and blackish with blak dots on its wings, red stuff on his head. Well i went to the cage and i saw my tweety right there still a bit alive, beak all red, wings bad and everything.

Then he passed away, just now October 15, 12:15pm.
I had that bird since i was a little kid when i was 5 years old. Meant a lot to me and now is gone.

Never like that bird in my life. He also tried to hurt my dogs. Almost picked up my chihuahua and killed him. But good thing my chihuahua just growled at him and the bird left.

    I wish i had a picture but i don't have any.

    RIP Tweety December 17th 1997 - October 15th 2006

Im so sorry about little Tweety,

Never leave a pet bird alone outside because there are some tricky hawks out there that can open cages or stick there feet threw gaps, I looked up some hawks in Arizona there are many even your little dog is at risk alone outdoors.

A large eagle or hawk could pick your dog up with no problem so watch out!

RIP little Tweety im sure you had a great life with your owner.

    thanks everyone.

I never even knew there are hawks here until two days ago. it's pretty crazy that they have them here.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

    RIP Tweety

I, too, take my birds outside when it's warm. I'm usually out there with them, but sometimes I run in the house for short periods of time. I won't be doing that anymore. I'm so sorry this happened to you, but this so easily could have happened to me too. Thanks for posting, you may have saved more birds.

    so sorry for tweety

I am so sorry for your traumatic loss. It sounds like a Hawk, perhaps a Coopers Hawk. They attack and poke out the eyes of their victims. We have them here and I have to watch for my Chihuahuas also. If you have a hawk in the area it is not safe to put any pet birds outdoors since birds are prey to Hawks. So sorry about your bird.

Although hawks do not have red on them light refraction can display colors in a bird that are not present.

It may also have been a younger Hawk looking for an easy meal.

This is kinda randome but I found a photo of a hawk that might have killed your bird.

Tell me if this is what it looked like
