Please share your healthy snack ideas!

Well, I've been really trying to eat healthier and exercise more to lose those 10 pounds that I gained last year, and it's tough! I've been pretty successful the last few weeks but I'm getting tired of the same old meals. Anyone have any good recipes for healthy-ish desserts? Or any snack ideas would be wonderful!

Here's my healthy snacks- I want to try some more variety though!

    Apples & peanut butter
    Unsweetened yougart & granola
    Cottage cheese
    Fruit or fruit juice
    Popcorn

    Thanks!

I made chicken and rice soup last night, it was really good and pretty healthy.

I sauteed 3 cut up onions in olive oil, diced 6 chicken breasts and added that, put 2 large cans of chicken broth in and salt, pepper and cumin. Simmered for about 20 minutes and added 1 cup of rice. When the rice was done I added 2 cans of corn.

You could use something besides corn to cut down on the carbs...

LOL! mmmmmm, thanks, but no thanks, Sleet!
I like to snack on red seedless grapes - easy to fix, easy to eat, tasty & sweet! Adds fiber too.

You can have unsweetened yogurt with a variety of things in it. Fruit, nuts, and like you mentioned, granola. You can freeze fruit juice and put popsicle sticks in it so it's like a popsicle. Peanut butter and banana sandwhich is good to some people, too.

Rice cakes with light cream cheese is yummy. I also like 100 calorie packs of chips, you can get them in cheetos, doritos and I think they have some other ones as well. If you like ice cream I love Skinny Cows my favorite is strawberry shortcake, the entire ice cream sandwhich is only 140 calories and makes a yummy desert!
