There are a lot of people who believe in going that route. Perhaps I am too lazy....I don't cook for my daughter and me enough, so I know I'd be hardpressed to cook for my dogs! Instead, we have chosen an all natural food for them, and we supplement it occasionally with fresh or frozen vegetables, cheese, yogurt, etc. But they are thriving on their current food, California Natural Low Calorie Lamb and Rice (we had a weight issue to deal with for a while ).
But I would say that if you have carefully researched and understand what you need to do to be successful that you should go for it, provided you are ready to devote the time and energy necessary to make it successful.
