Mickey - Collie or Sheltie mix?

Since we adopted Mickey, there's been a mini debate throughout the family whether or not he's Collie or Sheltie cross Border Collie... or neither! Just going to make a poll and see what you all think.

These aren't the greatest pictures, I don't have a recent sideshot, but I thought pictures showing his personality could possibly determine his mix.

Mick's 21" and very furry. He probably weighs 45-50lbs right now and could lose about 5 pounds!

ETA: Here's an old sideshot from the winter (2005.... sorry for the bad quality!)

A bad quality one from the spring.

I think he's mostly Border Collie with some Collie mixed in. I can easily see both breeds in him. I don't see any Sheltie at all...but then again, Collie and Sheltie mixes can look very similar. Whatever he is though, he's a beautiful dog!

He looks BC/Sheltie to me.. but I'm thinking he might be 3/4 BC, 1/4 Sheltie. I do see a lot of Border in him, but I don't think he's a purebred at all. The first and last pictures really remind me of my boys.

I see more Collie than I do Border Colle. I don't know much about rough collies, but he doesn't look similar to any border collies I have met. JMO Go put him on sheep and see what happens!

To really confuse you there is a PB Aussie in my agility class that reminds me of him.

He looks to me like Collie/Border Collie mix.

The structure of his body in the pics and how he holds himself say Collie although I don't know anything about BC's. His markings are that of a Collie and the way his tail appears to be "low slung" say Collie to me. His face looks Border Collie and his ear set looks B/C. And his weight is about that of a BC. Male Collie's are much larger than 45lbs unless they just come from EXTREMELY small parents. But again BC's are around this size aren't they? But I don't think Sheltie at all but of course I don't know his personality either.
    Collie/BC is my opinion

based as every BC I know around here(which is not far from where BC_mom lives)

size and wieght- purly Border Collie

    markings- very common BC markings

tail- every BC I have ever know carries their tail like that

posture- like a cattle bred BC

    coat- BC

    ear set- BC

the only thing about him that does not scream Border Collie to me is his face, in a few of the pics his face looks Collie like and in other his face looks BC like so I am not sure on that one.
