I have 3 dogs, and 4 cats. I could not imagine my life without them, and I don't try to imagine it either. My pets give my life more meaning.

I voted for both because they each give you something different and I can't live without either

My thoughts exactly! I had only dogs growing up and got my first cat 9 years ago. I knew very little about cats and my son brought Trevor home one day as a 3 lb. kitten. Boy did that change things for me! For those who prefer one over the other, have you ever considered having both? It's a great experience!Originally posted by aly

It is definitely both for me too!!! And then add in a few others like birds and hamsters and you have my idea of perfection!
I would have to say dogs.....im mommy to 3 dogs and 2 cats but i still love my cats i used to be really close to cats but me and my mom have had some bad times with cats..so far me and dogs have gotten along quite fine well i g2g t2e1l

I never cared much for cats, but my husband grandmother gave our 2 year old daughter a white fluffy kitten...16 years ago! Have had him every since, he (tickles) has been colored (washable markers), haircuts, makeup/dressup and no telling what else! (she went through terrible two's with him). Our daughter has graduated and off to college...she misses her baby dearly and of course he is mine now (he knows who feeds him! One thing about having both, the cat has trained the dogs the way HE wants them.
Also...my daughter had a chicken once, the cat and chicken were like best friends, the chicken would lay an egg, and leave his 'dog house' and the cat would go in and lay on it...go figure that one! I got a picture of it once...its attached...now thats WEIRD!
The egg is on the left side of the cat, brownish color...
All I can say is "good kitty"!!!! What a delightful fellow he is!!!Originally posted by Jokens

I like all animals (except I am not too fond of pigs) but I have to vote for dogs. I like cats but I have never been terribly attached to any. I may end up getting the "ultimate kitty" that changes my mind, but for now, my votes goes strictly to dogs.
DOGS!!! I have never been a cat lover...it runs in my family I think!! lol
Don't buy while shelter dogs die!!
UMM????? WHO VOTED NONE???
