As of a few years ago, we have to dial the area code for local numbers too. And they changed a bunch of the Ohio area codes, I'm still trying to get used to that.
Just the phone number.

Just the # here in CA
The town my sister lived in requires only 5 digits be dialed for a call in the same town.... FOr example....if her number was 364-0288 and you were calling from the same town you only need to dial 4-0288!
It is a VERY small town.
(And have you noticed...some call it "typing" a number and some call it "dialing" a number. )
Area code = 2 digits, no. = 6 digits. All over Denmark. Copenhagen used to be 01, but it has now changed to all kinds of two digit numbers - however, you cn usuall tell which area in Copenhagen a no. belongs to.
What I think is irritating, is that the Alarm no. has changed from 000 to 112.

In Denver, we have to dial the area code + the number for local calls. In Iowa, you just needed the last 7 digits.
