Curiosity poll #2. Local telephone calls.

In our area we have been dialing ALL 10 numbers for local calls. (area code + 7 digit number). Whereas it udes to be only the 7 digit number for local calls and only the area cod if OUT of your area. But what I do not know is if EVERYONE across the country needs to do that.

SO....How do you dial a LOCAL telephone number??

just the number............. unless its a cell phone then its whereever you are 044+area code+number...........

I have a habit at dialing the area code and then the seven-digit number so for me the second. I have to dial the area code or i will feel uncomfortable dialing it.

Just the number. Except most cell phones you have to dial the area code then the number.

If it's on the house phone, just the number.
If it's on my cell (sprint service), just the number.
If it's on my mom/dad/sis's cell (altel service), it depends; we are 5 min from the texas border and sometimes -even when dialing a local number- they'll pick up a texas tower and get the wrong person.

(I voted just the number.)
