    Another mountain tour

Wednesday we went to the Alps South of Munich in the Garmisch area for a hike:

It was nice weather but the sky was covered- good when it goes uphill

Can you see me in the background- I felt you would need a person to have an idea if the dimensions of the landscape:

I thinnk I did not take enough pics of the beautiful flowers that were everywhere:

Siegmar took a lot of pictures too:

This is what you get after the hard work is done:

And you get it in front of a place like this:

On our way back we came along the Ettal monastery:

Inside the cupola it is all baroque painting

    Hope you enjoyed

Looks wonderful! Much better when you know you can have qa lovely cold drink at the top without having to hike up with it.

Wow, what a scenery - and I know how beautiful it is, as I were there (or close) when we visited. Would love to come along up a mountain one day again, but I think I'd prefer the lift going up. Tell Siegmar that I'm admiring him.

    Thanks for sharing.

Awwwww, how I miss those places!!!!

By the first picture, I could tell it's that area. I loved the Ettal monastery - it's huge. I liked the Hunting Lodge too, I know it's not far from Ettal, but I forgot how far. There are plenty of places to hike and visit - probably the most beautiful area in Germany. When I was there, I went up every mountain in the area . I'd definitely go again to Garmisch. It gets under your skin so quickly and for good . Who hasn't visited Germany yet, should start saving money and go visit it - it's amazing!

I attach a picture of me in the same area of Germany - not exactly summery

(btw, I have a set of very beautiful handmade plates from the shop across the Ettal monastery)

    Dear Barbara,

I am a great hiker. I follow my mom wherever she goes, even if my little tongue hangs out, every now and then.

We would love to take this hike with you.

    Love,
    Butter (and Mom)
