    What else can clean teeth

Teddy does not like Raw bones. I have tried everything and he just does not like them. he won't chew them, he won't even eat the meat off it.

I have heard that brushing is not the best solution for plaque. How can I keep his teeth their cleanest?

What else can I give him to chew that will take any plaque off?

R.I.P my dear Sweet Teddy. You will be missed forever. We love you.

That is a first for me, a dog that wont eat bones!?!

Brushing is a great way to keep your dogs teeth clean, you can buy the special toothpaste at the vets or pet stores. You can also but drops that you add to their water, whcih cuts down of plaque.

What kind of food is Teddy on?

He doesn't have really any plaque now but I want to keep it that way lol. For some reason he does not like raw bones, he will not chew them.

I guess I will have to go with brushing.

He eats Solid Gold MMillenia or something like that

I haven't seen a soup bone are they big? Would it be heavy so its hurting his mouth or has he got teeth that are loose? I think pigs ears are good too but not 100% sure

My dogs love to chew on ropes with knots. It has kept their teeth pretty clean for the last five years. There is also a liquid that you can mix in their water to prevent plaque build up.

I know you said Teddy doesn't like raw bones. Just out of curiosity, have you tried a cooked beef bone?
They are different in that they are very very hard and most dogs cant chew them up at all. Daisy has some that she's been chewing on for a month, lol.

The rpoe toys ones have a note about this on their tags - supposed to be good for getting off plaque. I recall seeing some nylabone-type knobby toys that also advertising they help keep teeth clean.

Cooked bones are dangerous. They can splinter. My dogs NEVER get cooked bones.

I wish there was a good solution other than putting them under, that really scares me!

You can try Bully Sticks. I haven't met a dog that didn't like Bully Sticks. Although, I can feel your pain because Lucky, too, hates raw bones and Greenies and other teeth-cleaning products. He does, however, give a half-hearted effort to chew on a Bully Stick.
