    GSD in shelter, again

    Any takers??

The lovely young male GSD that I thought had been sucessfully adopted from
the Bloomington, Indiana Animal Care & Control is back. The people who were
to adopt him never picked him up from the vet after he was neutered...

He is NOT doing well in the shelter situation and is losing weight and
breaking out of all the kennels to try to get to people. This dog is
georgeous and an absolute love, but he won't last long at the shelter. He
has proabably lost 5-6# already and needs to be with people. He is neutered,
HW neg and has all of his shots.

I think he would make a wonderful therapy dog.

    You can see him @:

The kindest thing I can say is that I hope this people will never be allowed near a pet EVER again.

I wish I could help. I hope he will find someone soon as he deserves it after being abandoned twice

So sorry about the confusion. You'd think that by now I'd learn to include an explanation!! The D at the end of GSD throws everyone off. However, it is included in it's official name. Sorry, again!

    Sue,

This GSD is Gorgeous !!! I might be able to work in a female
with Buddy, but for sure, not a male. This young age is such
a critical stage for growth, training & bonding with people
and other dogs, Dang, I feel he might develope some
behavior problems if he's not "sprung" pretty soon. I
remember Bud at about that age, and he HATED to be
confined. I'll say some prayers for that Beautiful boy !!!

Oh, it breaks my heart to hear such a gorgeous animal isn't doing well back in the shelter. He's a beauty for sure and would no doubt make a wonderful dog for someone! Intelligence just sparkles in his eyes...

I will be sending good vibes his way. He deserves a forever home in a hurry.

Oh my! What a handsome fellow!!! I would have been there in an instant if I had still lived in Columbus, IN. Bloomington is only a short 30 minute drive from my Columbus home!!!
I sure hope he finds a responsible and caring family soon!! How could anyone pass this gorgeous GSD up??!!

    update

Mike has looked at the pictures and called the shelter this morning (He could not resist that pretty boy ). He talked with the adoption people and they said that he was up for adoption. But that he could call tomorrow and find out if he leaves. Mike was happy to hear that, but a little disappointed as well.

He also talked with the adoption officer and they would only talk to our vet and local animal care and control see if we could adopt him. they also said that the amount of dogs that we had did not diswade them from letting us have him.

Well, with any luck he has a forever home tonight. If not maybe this weekend.

You know, it's funny...Mike keeps telling me to stop looking at dogs to adopt, but yet he calls on this one! lol. He's the one that talked to the shelter, so I can't give you details, but we'll keep you posted. I need to stop coming on here...it keeps costing me money getting other dogs!! lol j/k

Oh my, that is so sad. What kind of person would leave an animal at a vet's office after a surgery like that. If I lived in Indiana I would come and pick him up. I wish that dog the best.
