Wow, today was such a long day, but it was so much fun! I was in the schooling show @ the stables where I ride Garth. I rode in two classes, one jumping and one flat class.
I got to the stables at about 9:00 this morning so I could tack up and warm Garth up. To my surprise, his owner was there! I wasn't sure if she was coming or not, but I was happy to see her. She loves Garth so much and she is so good to him.
In our jumping class we took 2nd place. I'll try to post the video of us jumping later. I couldn't get him to canter at the begining, so the judge took off points for that. We did even better in our flat class; we got 1st place! I was a little nervous about that since Garth sometimes chases other horses or takes off while cantering, but he was perfect! (I think partially because his other leaser rode him in a different show yesterday and he was tired out from that, but hey, whatever works! )
Sorry there aren't any riding pictures, my mom said she just wanted to watch. I think his owner took some riding pictures, so hopefuly she'll e-mail those to me.

Hehe, he was trying to eat the ribbons!
I'll try to post the video later and if his owner sends me anymore pictures I'll post those as well!
Sorry for rambling on even more, but I just wanted to add that I am hoping to lease Garth for more than just this summer! The barn manager came up to me today and told me I should really think about leasing him long term. (I'm just filling in for his other leaser over the summer because his owner broke her leg) I told the BM that his other leaser might still be planning on coming back, but she told me I shouldn't worry about it, there are other horses that she leases, too. I'm hoping to make show team eventually, so I really, really want to continue leasing him! My mom is worried that it will be too much with school and everything next year (I got into all honors classes :/ ) Hopefully this will work out... He is such a sweet horse and is an amazing jumper (he loves to jump, can't go too high but never refuses) and I think I could learn a lot from him...
