It'd be better to just get one betta and let him have the minibow to himself, he'd be a lot happier that way.
I agree, its better to have just one betta in a 2.5.
Lots of people use a divider and keep two bettas in that minibow. As long as you do regular water changes it should be fine. They each get a little more than a gallon to themselves which is a good amount of room for a betta.

I agree that 1 gal should be enough but with bettas you need a good deal of serfice area and deviding it would not allow very much, unless the divider lets water through. I also agree though that just one in that tank is better. Less chance of disease spreading too.

the divider lets water thought.I was just wondering.I already have a gallon tank for when i get my betta but i would love to upgrade in the near future.Everone says that the betta bug is very catchy.

yup but remember with the divider, one gets sick the other most likley will too.
